仕かけ只一喰に喰殺しすへの難義を

横手を打此謀事究て我心の叶（かな）へり
所詮の論に及んより各其用意を致さ
るべしと評義一決し其手配りを
なし夜の更行を待にけり

禁長に利害を説いて御味方にさせるべきだ。その返答によって、どうにでも計らおう」と言う。その時横合いより川島九左衛門が踊り出て申すには「その評議は宜しくない。その理由は、大将が直接利害を説いてさえ聞き入れない禁長なのだから、まして我々の言うことは尚更のことである。諺にも『窮鼠返って猫を食う』と言う通り、何かと騙すに手はないと申すなら、今夜密かに禁長の寝所へ
仕掛けて、ただ一撃で食い殺し、全ての難儀を除くべきだ」と憚ることなく申したので、大将は手を打ち「この謀事まことに我が心に叶えり。詮議の論に及ぶより、各々その用意を致すべし」と評議を一決し、その手配りをなして夜の更けるのを待った。
