心能一戦し我武勇の程を見すべし

ふにし給へと別れを告（つげ）て鹿子は津田
山へ帰りける禁長は鷹を呼て六右衛門の

大いに驚き、かつ鹿子の情けを喜び、感涙を催した。「さてさて足下は若年ながら仁義の者である。よくも大事を告げてくれた。その嬉しさといったら、足下の知らせがなければ、我は彼等のために殺されていたであろうに、不思議にも命を拾った。これはひとえに天運である。今日にて仕事も仕舞い、明日には受官いたして立ち帰ろうと思う。今晩このような事に及ぶのも致し方ないことである」
と天を仰いで嘆息し、「それならば出精もこれまでである。よって六右衛門等が押し寄せるのを待ち受け、心よく一戦して我が武勇のほどを見せるべし。返す返すも足下の報恩の志、ありがたいことである」と厚く礼謝したので、鹿子も喜び「随分と謀事を巡らして、仕損じぬようになさってください」と別れを告げて、鹿子は津田山へ帰った。禁長は鷹を呼んで六右衛門の悪計と鹿子の情けを物語り、それより防ぎの
