立帰るさる程に鹿子は禁長の一 書（しよ）
を持六右衛門が籠（こも）りたる穴観音へ至り
ければ六右衛門を始一味の悪狸（あくり）威義（いぎ）
を正して並居（なみい）たり其時六右衛門は
鹿子に向ひ汝（なんじ）先刻より我 陣（じん）をぬ
け出で何国へ至りしや真直（まつすく）に申
べしと訇（のゝし）りけれは鹿子少しも動（どう）
ぜず頭をさげ私義何卒 禁（きん）長
をだまし討（うち）君の御 感（かん）に預り
からんと先刻より浜辺参り松の
梢（こずへ）に登（のぼ）り今や来ると待請しに
程なく禁長只一疋浜辺をさして
来りしゆへ扨こそ来ると眼はなし
せず松へ近寄待かけしに元より
明智の禁長なれは彼松近く成るや
いな松の梢（こす）へはつたと白眼 扨（さて）こそ
曲（くせ）者ござんなれといふ侭に大手を
広げ彼大 松（まつ）をひつかゝへしきりに

立ち帰る。さる程に鹿子は禁長の手紙を持って、六右衛門が籠もっている穴観音へ至ると、六右衛門を始め一味の悪狸たちが威儀を正して並び居た。その時六右衛門は鹿子に向かい、「汝、先刻より我が陣を抜け出でて何国へ至ったのか、真っ直ぐに申すべし」と罵ったので、鹿子は少しも動ぜず頭を下げ、「私はどうにかして禁長をだまし討ちし、君の御感に預かろうと、先刻より浜辺へ参り、松の梢に登って『今や来る』と待ち受けていました。
程なく禁長がたった一匹で浜辺を目指してやって来たので、『さてこそ来た』と目を離さず、松へ近寄るのを待ち構えていましたが、元より明智の禁長であるので、あの松近くになるやいなや、松の梢へぱっと白眼をむけ、『さてこそ曲者がいるな』と言うやいなや、大手を広げてあの大松をひっ掴み、しきりに
