右之通 読（よみ）終り大 息（いき）継（つい）で申けるは
禁長只壱疋にてさへ味方今日の如く
敗軍に及ぶ然るに禁長属族を
率し其上鷹の子弐疋あり何（いず）れ
も強（こう）の者と聞（きく）是等を始め押寄
来りなば戦ひ難義ならん如何（いかが）して
防がんやと色を失ひ諸将に異見を
見合せけれども誰あつて詞を出す
者なし只 互（たが）ひに顔を見合せ

手勢何百人でも御調えの上御待ち下されるべし。念のためこの義申し残し候。

右の通り読み終わり、大きく息をついて申すには、「禁長がただ一匹でさえ味方は今日のように敗軍に及んだ。然るに禁長が属族を率い、その上鷹の子が二匹あり、いずれも強者と聞く。これらを始めとして押し寄せて来れば戦いは難儀であろう。いかにして防ごうか」と色を失い、諸将に意見を求めたけれども、誰一人として言葉を発する者はなし。ただ互いに顔を見合わせ
