よくもこの六右衛門を欺いたな。汝は知るまいと思うとも、我は既にこれを知っている。速やかに白状すれば一命を助けてやろう。異議を申すなら、その場で食い殺すぞ」と罵った。鹿子ははっと驚きながらも、そうではない様子でにっこりと笑い「これは思いもよらぬ難題を承るものです。その不肖なりといえども、君の御領地に住居し家内を養うことは皆これ君の御厚恩です。
