扨も禁長は津田山にて鹿子に諫（いさめ）られ
夫より直（すぐ）に立帰り先此事を大和
茂十郎様へ申上んと又〳〵千太に
のり移（のりうつ）り茂十郎へ此一件を始終 具（つぶさに）
に物語り私は是より鎮守堂へ至り
属族を集め此度の恥辱を雪（すゝが）がん
と存候間 直（すぐ）様御 暇（いとま）申也運に叶ひ敵
六右衛門を亡しなば再び御目見へ仕へ
し若又 敗北（はいぼく）仕りなば其所にて討（うち）
死仕るべし誠に是迄は厚く御恩を
蒙り置なく候と頭（こうべ）をさげければ茂
十郎を始め家内の者大ひに驚きける
其時茂十郎か曰く我始めより斯（かく）あら
んと知りしゆえ止（とゞ）めしなり此上は戦（たゝ）
かひを止（とゞ）まり此地に住し以前の通り
我属敷を守（まも）るへしと申ければ禁
長涙を流し重〳〵の御情（なさけ）難有奉
存候併此度の戦ひ藤樹寺（ふじのきじ）鷹（たか）義
現代語訳
さて禁長は津田山にて鹿子に諫められ、それより直ちに立ち帰り、まずこの事を大和茂十郎様へ申し上げようと、また千太に乗り移り、茂十郎へこの一件を始終詳しく物語った。「私はこれより鎮守堂へ行き、一族を集めて、この度の恥辱を雪ごうと存じます。すぐにお暇を申します。運に叶って敵六右衛門を討ち果たしましたならば、再びお目見えいたします。もしまた敗北いたしましたならば、その場で討ち死にいたすでしょう。誠にこれまでは厚いご恩を蒙り、忘れ難く存じます」と頭を下げたので、茂十郎をはじめ家内の者は大いに驚いた。その時茂十郎が言うには「私は初めからこうなることを知っていたので止めたのである。この上は戦いを止めて、この地に住み、以前の通り我が配下を守るがよい」と申したところ、禁長は涙を流し「重ね重ねのお情け、ありがたく存じ上げます。しかしこの度の戦い、藤樹寺の鷹義...」
