かるまじと会釈して申ければ金（きん）の
鶏火の玉等詞を揃へてさすがは女 尺（だけ）の
心なりたとへ六右衛門大勢なりとて恐る
ゝ事あらんや我〳〵先がけいたし敵
の小狸何百疋あるともかた端（はし）より
喰殺し敵将六右衛門を引ずり出し
なぶり殺しにすべしと面色（めんしよく）猛火の
ごとく訇（のゝし）【詈ヵ】りけれは高須院元諸狸を
制して申けるは各の申さるゝ所皆一利
ありといへども我又壱ツの謀計（ほうけい）あり
其故は津田方には禁長帰りなば今日
にも押寄来るべしと昼夜寐もやらず
定めて待 草臥（くたびれ）今比は心身労れ勇
気屈しつらん味方其 虚（きよ）に乗（ぜう）し
味方不意に押寄なば敵は周章（あわて）さわぎ
手に立物あるましされば六右衛門を討取
事 容易（たやす）かるべしと述ければ禁長横
手を打御坊の謀計我心に叶へり各

かるまじ」と会釈して申したところ、金の鶏や火の玉等は言葉を揃えて「さすがは女だけの心なり。たとえ六右衛門が大勢であろうとも恐れることがあろうか。我々が先駆けいたし、敵の小狸が何百匹あろうとも片端より食い殺し、敵将六右衛門を引きずり出してなぶり殺しにすべし」と面色が猛火のごとく罵りけれども、高須院元が諸狸を制して申すには「各々の申されるところ皆一理ありといえども、我にまた一つの謀計あり。

If our side takes advantage of this weakness and attacks unexpectedly, the enemy will be thrown into confusion and panic, unable to bear arms properly. Thus, killing Rokuzaemon should be easy."
