などあたへ出立を祝しける禁長は
大ひに悦び支度を十分調へ家内

開野村を発足し津田浦穴観

評に曰此の津田六右衛門といふ狸
芝右衛門の嫡子にてしかも正一位の高
官を致し年齢三百歳を経
たり然る処此頃穴観音を流（はや）
行（らし）諸方の諸狸に官位をあた
現代語訳
などを与えて出立を祝した。禁長は大いに喜び、支度を十分に整え、家内の者へしばらくの暇を告げ、大和の宅を立ち出て、門口でかしこまって伏した。それより千吉は元の本性となったのは不思議なことである。さて禁長はそれより我が住処の森へ立ち帰り、数多くの眷属を集めて門出の盃をなし、留守のことは高須の院元と火の玉の両狸に頼み、その身は藤樹寺の鷹一匹を召し連れ、小遣いの雑兵狸一人、主従三人でその夜丑の刻満ちる頃に日開野村を出発し、津田浦穴観音へ急いだ。
評して言う。この津田六右衛門という狸は芝右衛門の嫡子にて、しかも正一位の高官に就き、年齢三百歳を経ている。然るところ、この頃穴観音を流行らせ、諸方の諸狸に官位を与えて

Kinchō was greatly delighted, made full preparations, informed his household members of his temporary absence, departed from his Yamato residence, and prostrated himself respectfully at the gate. From that point on, Senkichi returned to his original nature, which was indeed mysterious. Now, Kinchō returned to the forest that was his dwelling, gathered many of his followers for a farewell cup, entrusted the affairs during his absence to both the tanuki of Takasu-no-in'gen and Hi-no-tama, and taking with him one hawk from Tōjuji temple and one foot soldier tanuki as his attendant, the three of them—master and servants—departed from Hibiraki-no-mura around the hour of the Ox at midnight and hurried toward the Tsuda-ura Cave Kannon.
The commentary states: This tanuki called Tsuda Rokuemon was the eldest son of Shiba'emon, had attained the high rank of First Rank, and had lived for three hundred years. However, recently he had made the Cave Kannon popular and was granting official ranks to various tanuki from different regions.
