へけり此観音を流行（はやら）せし事は世
の人よく知る所也また狸の官といふ
神となり仏を流行らせ其知勇に
よつて或は藪神 大（たい）木の神と也諸人
を帰（き）服さす也此六右衛門は正一位稲荷
明神の高官に昇り両国は勿論近
国の大将也ゆへに是に便り勤て受
官をする也
去程に禁長 鷹（たか）は道を急き津
田浦穴観音にいたり案内しける
は某は日開野村禁長と申者也なに
とぞ大将六右衛門殿に御目見いたし
御願の節あつて能〳〵参上いた
せり此通り御取次下さるへしといふ
取次の狸承り早速此旨大将六右
衛門に達しければ六右衛門早速 呼入（よびいれ）
れ対面ある其時禁長は低頭平身（ていとうへいしん）
して申けるは某儀は日開野禁長
現代語訳
いる。この観音を流行らせたことは世の人がよく知るところである。また狸の官というのは神となり仏を流行らせ、その知恵と勇気によって、あるいは藪神、大木の神となって諸人を帰服させるのである。この六右衛門は正一位稲荷明神の高官に昇り、両国はもちろん近国の大将である。ゆえにこれに頼って勤めて受官をするのである。
さて禁長と鷹は道を急いで津田浦穴観音に到着し、案内を求めた。「某は日開野村禁長と申す者である。なんとぞ大将六右衛門殿にお目見えいたし、お願いの儀があってわざわざ参上いたした。この通りお取り次ぎくださるべし」と言う。取り次ぎの狸が承り、早速この旨を大将六右衛門に伝えたところ、六右衛門は早速呼び入れて対面した。その時禁長は低頭平身して申すには、「某儀は日開野禁長
