正月三ヶ日
一 裏門を使用することになるため、木綿の黒い法被と茶色の袴を着用すること。当番二人は朝六つ時（午前6時頃）から詰め、昼九つ時（正午頃）に二人が出て交代し、夕六つ時（午後6時頃）に引き上げる。鍵については、この時期は大目付の月番が預かるため、朝の出勤者が参上して受け取り、また夕番の者が六つ時に納めること。
行燈は近頃出されないので、部屋から提灯一張と蝋燭を持参すること。
ただし以前は、元日は朝六つ時から本番一人、昼九つ時に代わり番が出て交代、また本番の者は七つ時（午後4時頃）に出て翌朝五つ時（午前8時頃）まで勤務。そのほか加番一人は朝六つ時に出て、昼九つ時に夕加番が出て交代し、七つ時に引き上げ。
三日は本番の者も夕六つ時に引き上げることとしていた。
以前は右の通り勤務していたところ、徒士として召し抱えられた勝村光蔵が裏門番所に住居することになってから、勤務方法は近年本文の通りになった。その頃は鍵は留守居の預かりであった。
三ヶ日中
一 商人札は表門から裏門へ回して置くこと
一 魚鳥留札も同様に右と同じ扱いとする
元日
一 時服拝領の長持は、表門のくぐり戸から内玄関へ運ぶ
一 正月十四日の部屋日待は月番へ届け出ること
一 二月初午の稲荷祭礼の際、門は通常通りとすること

New Year's Three Days
1. Since the rear gate will be used, cotton black happi coats and brown hakama must be worn. Two guards on duty shall be posted from the morning sixth hour (around 6 AM), two people shall come out at the daytime ninth hour (around noon) for shift change, and withdraw at the evening sixth hour (around 6 PM). Regarding the keys, during this period they are kept by the ōmetsuke monthly duty officer, so the morning duty person shall come to receive them, and the evening duty person shall return them at the sixth hour.
Since lanterns are not provided recently, one paper lantern and candles must be brought from the quarters.
However, previously on New Year's Day, one main guard served from morning sixth hour, with a replacement coming at daytime ninth hour for shift change, and the main guard would come out at seventh hour (around 4 PM) until fifth hour the next morning (around 8 AM). Additionally, one assistant guard would come out at morning sixth hour, with an evening assistant coming for shift change at daytime ninth hour, withdrawing at seventh hour.
On the third day, even the main guards would withdraw at evening sixth hour.
Previously duties were performed as described above, but after Katsumura Kōzō, who was employed as an ashigaru, came to reside at the rear gate guardhouse, the duty system in recent years became as described in the main text. At that time, the keys were kept by the caretaker.
During the Three Days
1. Merchant tags shall be transferred from the front gate to the rear gate
1. Fish and bird restriction tags shall be handled the same as above
New Year's Day
1. The chest containing the ceremonial clothing bestowals shall enter through the front gate wicket to the inner entrance
1. The January 14th quarters vigil shall be reported to the monthly duty officer
1. During the February first horse day Inari festival, the gate shall remain as usual
