現代語訳

大黄（だいおう｜オオシ）『本草綱目』『和漢通名』
　　毒がある。和産はなく、漢種を伝えて栽培する。その種子は生じにくい。根を切って栽培
　　すべきである。その葉は桐の葉に似て広く、鋸歯はない。夏に茎を抜き出して五六尺に及
　　び、葉は互生し、末に花を開いて穂をなす。
　　花後に実を結ぶ。

槖吾（たくご｜ツワブキ）『正字通』
　　毒がある。陰湿の地に適している。葉は冬を経ても萎まず、春に若葉を生ずる。
　　フキの葉のようで厚く、深緑色で光沢がある。秋に中心より茎を
　　抜き出して茎頭に枝を分かち、黄花を開く。砂糖と一緒に食べては
　　いけない。大いに毒がある。

　　Has toxicity. There are no native Japanese varieties, so Chinese varieties are introduced and cultivated. The seeds are difficult to germinate. It should be cultivated
　　by cutting and planting the roots. Its leaves resemble paulownia leaves and are broad, without serrated edges. In summer, it sends up stems reaching five to six shaku in height,
　　with alternate leaves, and opens flowers at the tips forming spikes.
　　After flowering, it produces fruit.

Takugo (Japanese silver leaf | Farfugium japonicum) "Zhengzitong"
　　Has toxicity. Suitable for shady, moist ground. The leaves do not wither even through winter and produce young leaves in spring.
　　Like butterbur leaves but thicker, deep green in color with a glossy surface. In autumn, it sends up stems from the center,
　　branching at the stem tip and opening yellow flowers. It should not be eaten
　　together with sugar. It is highly toxic.
