烏頭（うず、いぶす）『本草綱目』
　　　大毒がある。これには二種あり、山中に自生するものを草烏頭（やまどりかぶと）と言う。毒が甚だ
　　　深い。春に宿根から苗を生ずる。高さ三、四尺。茎は弱く直立しない。葉は
　　　また状をなし互生する。秋に葉間ごとに花を開く。深碧色で、おおむね一綴り
　　　二、三花。形はほぼ楽人の鳥冠に似ている。また濃紫色、白色があり、白色の
　　　ものをはなづると言う。今、人家に植えるものは川烏頭（かぶとそう）と言う。毒は
　　　草烏頭よりやや浅い。葉は厚く深緑色で光沢がある。茎は強く直

Aconitum (Uzu, Ibusu) "Compendium of Materia Medica"
　　　It has great toxicity. There are two types of this: those that grow wild in mountains are called Grass Aconitum (Yamadori-kabuto). The poison is extremely
　　　potent. In spring, it produces shoots from perennial roots. Height is three to four shaku. The stems are weak and do not stand upright. The leaves are
　　　forked and grow alternately. In autumn, flowers bloom at each leaf interval. Deep blue-green color, generally in clusters of
　　　two to three flowers. The shape roughly resembles a court musician's bird-cap hat. There are also dark purple and white varieties, and the white
　　　ones are called hanazuru. Those currently planted in households are called River Aconitum (Kabutosō). The toxicity is
　　　somewhat less than Grass Aconitum. The leaves are thick, deep green with a glossy surface. The stems are strong and straight
