現代語訳

頼以君御代 一 文化十四年丁丑(1817年)九月五日、真壁甚作  息子が幼年のため年季番代として高五石二人扶持を下され、郷組への入人を申し付けられる 頼寧君御代 一 文政五年午(1822年)十月一日、真壁甚作の年季番代を滞りなく勤め、不時雇から勤め慣れたことにつき、引き続き郷組定雇を申し付けられ、これにより一人半扶持を下される 一 同六年未(1823年)十一月二十五日、御切替につき雇勤を差し免じられ、他所での稼ぎは勝手次第とされる 一 同九年戌(1826年)四月八日、親の丹左衛門が数十年出精して勤めたため、格別をもって一人扶持を下され、郷方定雇を申し付けられる 一 同十二年丑(1829年)三月二十五日、地方留役見習を申し付けられ、一人扶持の御加扶持 一 天保五年午(1834年)十二月八日、含みのある筋があり御先手組入人となる 一 同六年未(1835年)閏七月二十八日、地方留役郷方入人を申し付けられ、役米は並の通り下される 一 同十年亥(1839年)十二月十日、郷組物書見習を申し付けられ、向後高足を差し免じられるが地方留役はこれまでの通り 一 同十二年丑(1841年)六月二十八日、郷方物書本勤を申し付けられ、地方留役はこれまでの通り 一 同十三年寅(1842年)正月二十六日、親の丹左衛門が老年で歩行が不自由になったため、願いの通り番代を申し付けられ、高五石二人扶持を下され、勤め方はこれまでの通り 一 嘉永元年申(1848年)十一月十八日、六道原の新開塸筋の堀立につき抜群の骨折りをしたため、御徒士格に御取り立てされ俵数を成し下され、高十六俵二人扶持を下される。郷組物書はこれまでの通り、地方留役頭取を仰せ付けられ郡代支配となる 一 同四年亥(1851年)十一月五日、常々出精して勤めるため格別をもって御徒士順席を成し下され、二俵の御加増で高十八俵二人扶持、勤め方はこれまでの通り

Reign of Lord Yorimoto 1. On the 5th day of the 9th month of Bunka 14, Hinoto-Ushi (1817), Makabe Jinsaku - Since his son was of young age, appointed as temporary successor with stipend of 5 koku and 2-person rice ration, assigned to village group Reign of Lord Yoriyasu 1. On the 1st day of the 10th month of Bunsei 5, Uma (1822), Makabe Jinsaku completed his term as temporary successor without incident, and having become familiar with work from irregular employment, continued appointment as village group regular employee, granted 1.5-person rice ration 1. On the 25th day of the 11th month of Bunsei 6, Hitsuji (1823), relieved of employment duties due to administrative reorganization, free to seek work elsewhere as desired 1. On the 8th day of the 4th month of Bunsei 9, Inu (1826), since his father Tanzaemon had served diligently for decades, granted 1-person rice ration as special consideration and appointed village affairs regular employee 1. On the 25th day of the 3rd month of Bunsei 12, Ushi (1829), appointed apprentice regional administrative clerk, additional 1-person rice ration 1. On the 8th day of the 12th month of Tenpō 5, Uma (1834), due to certain implications, became member of advance guard unit 1. On the 28th day of the intercalary 7th month of Tenpō 6, Hitsuji (1835), appointed regional administrative clerk and village group member, official rice stipend granted as usual 1. On the 10th day of the 12th month of Tenpō 10, I (1839), appointed apprentice village group clerk, henceforth relieved of high stipend but regional administrative clerk position continues as before 1. On the 28th day of the 6th month of Tenpō 12, Ushi (1841), appointed full village affairs clerk, regional administrative clerk position continues as before 1. On the 26th day of the 1st month of Tenpō 13, Tora (1842), since his father Tanzaemon became elderly and had difficulty walking, succession approved as requested, granted stipend of 5 koku and 2-person rice ration, duties continue as before 1. On the 18th day of the 11th month of Kaei 1, Saru (1848), due to exceptional hard work on the canal construction for new rice field development at Rokudōhara, promoted to foot soldier rank and granted rice stipend by the bale, 16 bales and 2-person rice ration. Village group clerk position continues as before, appointed head of regional administrative clerks under county magistrate supervision 1. On the 5th day of the 11th month of Kaei 4, I (1851), due to consistently diligent service, granted foot soldier sequential rank as special consideration, increase of 2 bales for total of 18 bales and 2-person rice ration, duties continue as before
