現代語訳

【右丁】
その種類は不明だが、その葉を堅く巻いて中は空洞ではない。そうであれば虫の巣でもない。一種の奇妙な物である。貞幹の説によると、
私臆抄は元禄の頃の書物で、既に虫の巣ではないことを記している。実際に見ると、讃州の土地の人の説もまたその通りである。

人シラミ　中国の俗語で六脚虫という。和俗では半風という。風の字の半分を書いてこの名とする。人の身体につく時は色が白く歩みが遅い。髪につく時は動きが
速く色が黒い。考察するに髪シラミは
形が長くて黒色で、よく毛を這い上がることが
非常に早く、出没することが素早い。
おそらく別の一種のものである。
陰毛中のものは形が円く扁平で
草ダニのようである。皆それぞれその形が異なっている。

牛シラミ　ダニ　石見国・出雲国ではホジという。水戸ではスダリ、肥前ではフツツブという。ある男子、年齢五十四歳の陰嚢中に時々痒みを覚えた。三十日を経てその大きさは酸棗ほどでやや扁平、左図のようである。これを取ろうとして引くと痛んで離れない。同僚の桂甫賢がこれを薬線で結んで一夜にして離れ落ちた。これをよく見ると牛ダニである。八本の脚が並んでおり、フグの鰭のように八本の足だけが動く。
目はなく嘴は長く尖って
わずかに曲がっている。私に鑑定を求めてきたもので、初めは
粟粒の大きさだったが、後に三十日でこのような大きさになった。文政戊子の秋月

The species is unknown, but the leaves are tightly rolled and the inside is not hollow. If so, it is not an insect nest either. It is a kind of strange object. According to Sadamoto's theory,
the "Shigoku-shō" is a book from around the Genroku era that already recorded that it was not an insect nest. When actually observed, the explanation of the local people of Sanshū is also the same.

Human Lice　In Chinese colloquial language called "six-legged insect." In Japanese vernacular called "hanpū" (half-wind). Half of the character for "wind" is written to make this name. When attached to the human body, the color is white and movement is slow. When attached to hair, movement is
fast and the color is black. Upon examination, hair lice have
a long form and black color, and are very good at
climbing hair very quickly, appearing and disappearing swiftly.
They are probably a separate species.
Those in pubic hair have a round, flattened form
like grass mites. Each has a different form.

Cattle Lice　Tick　In Iwami and Izumo provinces called "hoji." In Mito called "sudari," in Hizen called "futsubu." A certain male, aged fifty-four, occasionally felt itching in his scrotum. After thirty days it grew to the size of a jujube seed, slightly flattened, as shown in the left diagram. When trying to remove it by pulling, it caused pain and would not detach. A colleague, Keiho Ken, tied it with medicinal thread and it fell off after one night. Upon close examination, this was a cattle tick. Eight legs were arranged in rows, and like a pufferfish's fins, only the eight legs moved.
It had no eyes and its proboscis was long and pointed,
slightly curved. Someone requested my identification of this specimen, which was initially
