此二虫偶此処ニアルヲ人見テ咎ヲ此虫ニ皈
ス素ヨリ此物人ヲ害セントスルニ意ナシ予此
モノヽ為ニ冤ヲ訟フコレ予積年ノ拙考ナ
リ今此ニ疏出シテ同志君子ニ示ス
為鬼為蜮

如此頭ノ処ヨリ下■裂テ蝶
出ル空虚ノ殻久ク枝上ニ残存ス

文化紀元薬品會ニテ見タルハ堅硬白漆ニテ塗タル
カ如シ形状ハ異ナルコトナシ是輪池屋代氏

現代語訳

【右丁】
この虫たちがたまたまこの場所にいるのを人が見て、その罪をこの虫に帰する。もともとこの生き物には人を害そうとする意図はない。私はこの生き物のために冤罪を訴える。これは私の長年にわたる浅学な考察である。今ここに詳しく書き出して、同じ志を持つ君子に示すものである。

このように頭の部分から下が裂けて蝶が出る。空になった殻は長い間枝上に残存する。

文化元年（1804年）の薬品会で見たものは、硬く白い漆を塗ったかのようであった。形状に変わったところはない。これは輪池屋代氏が入手したものだという。

What was seen at the medicine meeting in the first year of Bunka (1804) was hard and appeared as if painted with white lacquer. There was nothing unusual about its form. This was said to be something obtained by Mr. Washike Yashiro.
