【折紙上段】
去る十一日のお別紙を拝見いたしました。
公方様におかれましては、ますますご機嫌よくお過ごしになられ、お食事等もよく召し上がっておられますので、ご安心ください。
去る十五日には紅葉山の御仏殿へご参詣なされ、天気も良好で、誠におめでたいことでございます。
そちらでは変わったことはなく、禁裏・院中ともにご安全である旨を承知いたしました。
一、仙洞・女院の御入用銀がご不足につき、去年の通り小堀仁右衛門へお申し渡しになったところ、納銀に不足があったため、両御所へ三十貫目を整えるよう重ねてお申し渡しになった由を承り届けました。
【折紙下段】
一、この度仙洞に若宮がご誕生になったことにつき、知恩院門室後住の件について知恩院方丈が願い申し上げました。仙洞以外の宮方へ直接のご契約もあるのかと思われるところもありますが、まず承り置かれた由をご挨拶申し上げられた旨を承知いたしました。
次に、ご自身におかれましてはご無事にお勤めなされ、誠に珍重に存じます。
こちらは皆異状なく過ごしております。

We have reviewed your separate document from the 11th.
The Shogun is in increasingly good spirits and health, eating well, so please be at ease.
On the 15th, he made a pilgrimage to the Buddhist hall at Momijiyama, and the weather was favorable - truly a joyous occasion.
We understand that there are no unusual matters in your area, and that the Imperial Palace and court are safe.
1. Regarding the shortage of silver funds needed by Sentō and Nyōin (retired emperors and empresses), instructions were given to Kobori Niemon as in previous years, but there was insufficient payment. We have received word that renewed instructions were given to prepare thirty kan of silver for both imperial residences.

1. Regarding the recent birth of a young prince at Sentō, the head priest of Chion-in has petitioned concerning the matter of succession to the temple's gatehouse quarters. While we wonder if there might be direct agreements with imperial family members other than Sentō, we understand that this matter has been acknowledged for now and greetings have been exchanged.
Furthermore, we commend you for carrying out your duties safely without incident.
All here are well without exception.
