世之助は元々使っていた下人で治兵衛という者と

お金は与之介のせいで生まれつきではない不具者となり、
与之助に恨みを晴らそうとあちこちと歩き回ったが、
途中で治兵衛方に絹川と共に忍んで入ると
聞き、尋ねて来た。愚かな丁稚を騙し、
烏帽子飴の袋を付けて
家の中へ入る。
【丁稚の台詞】
「この家へは盗人は固く禁止でございます。盗人でさえなければ
お入りなさい。その代わりに、こちらへも美味い物をおくれよ」

When she heard that he and Kinugawa had secretly entered Jiheē's residence,
she came looking for them. She deceived a foolish shop apprentice,
carrying a bag of eboshi candy,
and entered the house.
