Okane entered the house and asked the foolish apprentice about the situation. She learned that Jihē and the Yonosuke couple had been invited to a nearby star festival. She put the foolish apprentice to sleep outside and took his place in the sleeping quarters. Late at night, when the Yonosuke couple returned, she watched them and appeared in a terrifying form, intending to tear the couple apart and destroy them. When Kinugawa tried to escape, Okane grabbed the end of her obi sash.
