現代語訳
【津川平六貞包】
道玄と名乗り、両方とも馬を駆け合わせて、受けては流し、受けては流しして、二時（約四時間）ほど戦った。いつまでも罪を作って何になろうかと思い、静かに上帯を解いて、互いに刺し違えて死んだのであった。平六貞包は行年五十六歳、東条入道は六十二歳で、見事な討死であったと感嘆しない者はいなかった。

【Tsugawa Heiroku Sadakane】
Naming himself Dōgen, both sides spurred their horses together, parrying and deflecting each other's attacks for about two toki (approximately four hours) of battle. Thinking "How long shall we continue creating sin, and what purpose does it serve?", they quietly loosened their upper sashes and stabbed each other in mutual death. Heiroku Sadakane was fifty-six years old, and Tōjō Nyūdō was sixty-two years old - it was such a splendid warrior's death that there was no one who did not admire it.
