權守（こんのかみ）興世（をきよ）が一 子（し）武蔵（むさし）五良 貞（さだ）
世（よ）生年（しやうねん）十九歳きのふの戦（たゝかひ）に父（ちゝ）
興世（をきよ）生死（しやうじ）しれずなりければ
討死（うちじに）とおもひ定（さだ）め本陣（ほんぢん）

【大太刀を振るう武蔵五郎貞世】
権守興世の一子である武蔵五郎貞世は、生年十九歳で、昨日の戦いで父興世の生死が分からなくなったため、討死したものと思い定めて本陣に参り、将門に暇乞いをして出陣しようとした。将門は「しばし待て」と引き留め、杯を取って三度傾けさせ、宿月毛という馬を引かせて与えた。貞世は喜んで陣前に駆け出し、三尺五寸の大太刀を真っ向にかざし、八方に切って回ったので、さしもの（敵軍も）

【Musashi Gorō Sadayo Wielding a Great Sword】
Musashi Gorō Sadayo, the only son of Gon-no-kami Okiyo, was nineteen years old. Since his father Okiyo's fate became unknown in yesterday's battle, he assumed his father had died in combat and went to the main camp to bid farewell to Masakado before setting out. Masakado stopped him saying "Wait a moment," took a sake cup and made him drink three times, then had them bring forth a horse called Shukitsukige and gave it to him. Sadayo rejoiced and charged out to the front lines, holding his great sword of three shaku and five sun straight up, cutting in all eight directions, so that even the formidable (enemy forces)...
