【逃げ惑う人々】
すべて四百五十余りの建物が一つも残らず灰となってしまった。煙に迷った女や子供たちが、火の中や刀の上ともいわず倒れ転ぶ様子は、焦熱地獄や大焦熱地獄の苦しみも、このようなものかと思われて、実に悲惨なことであった。

【People Fleeing in Confusion】
All of the four hundred and fifty-odd buildings were reduced to ashes without a single one remaining. Women and children, lost in the smoke, fell and tumbled about regardless of whether they were in fire or upon sword blades. The scene was so wretched that one could imagine this was what the torments of the Burning Hell and Great Burning Hell must be like - it was truly a pitiful sight.
