【出産の祝いの使者たち】
経基王の御簾中（奥方）は、武蔵守橘敏有の娘である。懐妊のお気配がましまし、月が満ちて延喜十二年四月十日、西八条の宮において御産は恙なく、男子が誕生された。後に多田満仲と呼ばれ、文武兼備の良将となったのは、この若君のことである。祖父の親王、父の王が（喜ばれたのは）申すまでもないことである。

[Messengers celebrating the birth]
Prince Tsunemoto's wife was the daughter of Tachibana no Atsuyari, Governor of Musashi Province. She showed signs of pregnancy, and when her time came, on the 10th day of the 4th month of Engi 12 (912), at the Nishi-Hachijō Palace, she gave birth safely to a male child. This young prince would later be called Tada no Mitsunaka and become an excellent general skilled in both literary and military arts. The joy of his grandfather the prince and his father the king goes without saying.
