【御所の様子】
御所中の喜びは御門葉（皇族・貴族）は言うに及ばず、諸国の大名・小名より綾羅（美しい絹織物）、金銀、馬、鞍などを我劣らじと持参し続けて祝いを申し上げた。まことに源家繁栄の相であると褒め称えたことどもであった。

[The situation at the imperial palace]
The joy throughout the imperial palace was shared not only by the imperial family and nobility, but daimyo and lesser lords from all provinces brought gifts of fine silk brocades, gold and silver, horses, and saddles, each trying to outdo the others in offering their congratulations. Truly, these were matters that were praised as signs of the prosperity of the Genji (Minamoto) clan.
