ありて金 闕（けつ）の守（まもり）
にたれりはやく
去（さつ）て本土（ほんど）に帰（かへ）る
べしとの給へば貞
純親王の御 姿（すがた） 忽（たちまち）
五丈 餘（あまり）りの白 龍（りう）と
成（なつ）てしら波（なみ）を巻（まき）
かへし水 底（そこ）
に入たもふと
見てゆめ覚（さめ）
たり氏 光（みつ）奇（き）
異（い）のおもひをなし
桃園（もヽその）の宮にいたり
みれば親王（しんわう）已（すで）に
薨去（こうぎよ）し玉へり不思（ふし）
儀（ぎ）なりし事とも也
現代語訳
【水面の龍の図、◆白龍ではない】
子孫がいて金闕（天の宮殿）の守りについている。早く去って本土に帰るべきである」と仰せになると、貞純親王のお姿は忽ち五丈余りの白龍となって白い波を巻き返し、水底に入られるのを見て夢が覚めた。氏光は奇異な思いをなし、桃園の宮に行ってみると、親王はすでに薨去されていた。不思議なことであった。
英語訳

"You have descendants who serve as guardians of the golden palace (heavenly palace). You should depart quickly and return to your homeland." When the deity spoke thus, Prince Sadazumi's figure suddenly transformed into a white dragon over five jō in length, churning up white waves and entering the water's depths. Upon seeing this, Ujimitsu awakened from his dream. Feeling this to be most strange, Ujimitsu went to Momozono Palace to see, and found that the Prince had already passed away. It was indeed a mysterious occurrence.
