【宴に集う人々】
「池のほとりの林に棲む孤独な鳥が（春の訪れを）知り
春の沢、隠れた谷間に寒い光が花見をする
日の光と泉の音が近づき
初雷が山に響くと報せる
色は明るく晴れやかで、夕暮れの雨が通り過ぎる
これよりさらに恩寵の深さを知る
この生涯をもって何をもって
天に答えようか」
と詠まれた。この時、御年十七歳におなりになられていた。その後、この例によって今の御代まで年ごとに行われることとなったのであった。

[People gathering at the banquet]
"The solitary bird dwelling in the forest by the pond recognizes (the arrival of spring)
In the spring marsh, in the hidden valley, cold light observes the flower viewing
Sunlight and the sound of springs draw near
The first thunder announces its echo in the mountains
The colors are bright and clear, as evening rain passes by
From this I come to know even more deeply the profound imperial favor
With what in this lifetime
Shall I answer Heaven?"
Thus she composed. At this time, she was seventeen years of age. Thereafter, following this precedent, it became an annual custom that continues to this very reign.
