   奥仙 百六十両    南部 百三十両  結城辺菜種両ニ壱斗五六升之由  足利辺白米百文ニ壱合四勺  二月三日上州足利辺難渋人所々大勢集り大  騒之よし  中妻辺両ニ玄米壱斗六七合玄米壱駄売候へ  は金八両余ニなり候よし百姓は懐合宜敷よ  しニ候へ共市中買くらしの者は此節大難渋  なり此節仕事御手間七匁五分都而三四双倍  直上ニ相成居候  禁帝様大行天皇と称奉候趣いまたニ御停止  小普請は御免ニなる 《割書:三十五度| 》 《割書:十 日|初午》   朝より快晴 《割書:十一日|三十八度》  朝くもり四ツ過よりてり立  魚油他所出は制禁 新銭古銭共【「其」を見せ消ち】他所出御免  ニなる  昨夕方河和田村郷士平戸長衛門車屋え盗賊  三人入長衛門幷家内え手きづをわせ候よし 十二日  朝より快晴春めく南風夕方ゟ吹く

現代語訳

奥仙 百六十両    南部 百三十両  結城辺り菜種両に一斗五六升の由  足利辺り白米百文に一合四勺  二月三日上州足利辺り困窮人所々大勢集まり大騒ぎの由    中妻辺り両に玄米一斗六七合、玄米一駄売れば金八両余りになる由、百姓は懐具合宜しき由に候えども、市中買い暮らしの者はこの節大困窮なり。この節仕事御手間七匁五分、すべて三四倍の値上がりに相成り居り候    禁中帝様大行天皇と称し奉る趣、未だに御停止  小普請は御免になる (35度) 十日(初午) 朝より快晴 十一日(38度) 朝曇り四つ過よりてり立つ  魚油他所出しは制禁 新銭古銭共に他所出し御免になる  昨夕方河和田村郷士平戸長衛門車屋へ盗賊三人入り、長衛門並びに家内へ手傷を負わせた由 十二日 朝より快晴春めく南風夕方より吹く

While farmers are said to be doing well financially, city dwellers who live by purchasing are in great hardship at present. At present, work wages are 7 monme 5 bu, with prices rising to 3-4 times the normal rate across the board.
