安心していただけるでしょう。京都・大坂ともに万事収まる方向に向かい、誠に
大慶な事でございます。京都・大坂の米相場が大きく下落し、
一両で一斗五升になったということでございます。油の件も
また大きく下落いたしました。

長州・防州の件について、昨年上京した諸藩、当年上京した四藩等、
各々寛大な処置があるべし
との上奏があり、なお
将軍も寛大な処置との上奏があり、
朝廷も同様にお考えに
なられているので、早々に寛大な処置を取り計らうべきこと
長州・防州への処置の件について、この度仰せ出された趣もあり、
それに付き当地並びに堺表に掛けてある長州人の乱暴に付いての
高札を取り外すよう致すべき旨

You may rest assured. Both Kyoto and Osaka, in all matters, are moving toward settlement, which is truly
a most joyful affair. The rice market prices in Kyoto and Osaka have fallen greatly,
reaching one to five shō per ryō, it is said. Regarding oils,
they have again fallen greatly.

Regarding the matter of Chōshū and Bōshū domains: for the various domains that went to Kyoto last year and the four domains that went to Kyoto this year,
lenient measures should be taken for each.
This was reported to the throne, and furthermore
the Shogun also reported that lenient measures should be taken.
The Imperial Court thinks likewise,
so lenient measures should be promptly arranged.
Regarding the measures toward Chōshū and Bōshū domains, there was also the matter announced this time,
and accordingly, the notice boards regarding the disturbances caused by Chōshū people
posted in this area as well as in Sakai should be taken down.
