三官川岸、三王堂、立科、田口、芝宿（半分余り）、関根、上福島（うち四十軒は流失）、坂井、仁手——これらは泥が流入した場所である。三分川は埋まり、矢川も埋まった。
吾妻十ヶ村のうちのこと：
祖母島から十七歳になる女が芝宿へ逃れ上った。牧の者二人（四歳と六十歳）が三王堂へ逃れ上った。前小屋へかけ硯一〆（＝一束）上栗撚の御帳に止まった。死人三百。葛和田にて取り捨てられた流れ人馬四十四頭が堀々に引っかかった。死人六百。これはその夜のうちに流れた（ものである）。
御見分の御代官、原田清右衛門様ならびに遠藤兵右衛門様の御手代が七月二十三日に通行。この後、たびたび御手代衆・御普請役が通行された。
当時、越後の諸士が中瀬通りを往来された。七月十一日、佐州（佐渡）行きの囚人三十五人が高崎宿に逗留し、三十七日目に出立して松井田に泊まった。
七月二十五日に白い灰が降った。八月十七日の夜、藤岡あたりへ泥が降った。同十九日に霜が降った。今日まで快晴の日がないため、田の作物は穂が出ず、浅間山を見た人は一人もなく、桃・梨・柿の花が咲いてしまった（季節外れに）。総じて実のりものが落ちた。十八日の夜に鳴動あり。菜・大根・葱・麦・稲は寒さのためか実が入らなかった。
○同年十一月二十七日、白い灰が降った。上州境町あたりは草が灰に覆われた跡が見られた、とのこと。同二十八日・二十九日、この三日間、灰の降ること薄雪のごとし。

The following locations experienced mudflow inundation: Sankangashi, Sannōdō, Tateshina, Taguchi, Shibajuku (more than half), Sekine, Kamifukushima (of which forty houses were washed away), Sakai, and Nite. The Sambungawa River was buried, and the Yagawa River was also buried.
Concerning the ten villages of Agatsuma:
A seventeen-year-old girl from Sonejima escaped upward to Shibajuku. Two men from the pasture lands (ages four and sixty) fled up to Sannōdō. [Survivors] took refuge at Maegoya, with a note recorded in the ledger of Uegurikumi. Death toll: three hundred. At Kuwawada, the bodies and livestock that had been swept away — forty-four in total — were caught in the ditches and channels. Death toll: six hundred. These were swept away during that very night.
The inspecting magistrates (daikan), Lord Harada Seiuemon and Lord Endō Hyōuemon, along with their deputies (tedai), passed through on the twenty-third day of the seventh month. After this, the deputies and construction overseers (fuushin-yaku) passed through on numerous occasions.
At the time, samurai from Echigo Province were traveling along the Nakase road. On the eleventh day of the seventh month, thirty-five prisoners bound for Sado Province were lodged at Takasaki-juku; they departed on the thirty-seventh day and stayed overnight at Matsuida.
On the twenty-fifth day of the seventh month, white ash fell. On the night of the seventeenth day of the eighth month, mud fell in the vicinity of Fujioka. On the nineteenth day of the same month, frost fell. Because there had not been a single clear day up to the present, the rice plants in the paddies produced no ears, not a single person has been able to see Mount Asama, and the peach, pear, and persimmon trees bloomed (out of season). In general, all ripening fruits dropped prematurely. On the night of the eighteenth day, there was a great rumbling. Vegetables such as rape, daikon radish, green onions, wheat, and rice all failed to bear fruit, likely due to the cold.
○ On the twenty-seventh day of the eleventh month of the same year, white ash fell again. In the area around Sakaichō in Kōzuke Province, it was reported that traces of grass covered in ash could be seen. On the twenty-eighth and twenty-ninth days as well — for these three days in total — ash fell like a light snowfall.
