子の日大に風あつて日のひかりちん〳〵たれは水中に
｜難（さはひ）あり舟行をつゝしむへし
丑の日大に風有て地をはらひすなつちをあくれは米
｜暴（にはか）たかきことあり
寅の日大に風有て赤気四方にふさかるものはかならず
｜火災（ひこと）をつゝしむへし
卯の日大に風有てきなるちりを天につきのほるとき
はかならす｜蝗虫（いなむし）を生す

現代語訳

地の災いを免れることができないということはない。誠に人を長寿の域へと導くものである。

そうであれば、これは養生の一助であり、また仁術（思いやりの医術）の一端でもあると言えよう。

**年中の風の考察**　城南隠子　棚橋泥尾子　誌

子（ね）の日に大いに風があって、日の光がかすかにさえぎられるならば、水中に災いがあり、舟の往来を慎むべきである。

丑（うし）の日に大いに風があって、地を払い、砂塵を巻き上げるならば、米が突然高騰することがある。

寅（とら）の日に大いに風があって、赤い気（赤みがかった霞や煙）が四方にふさがるようであれば、必ず火災を慎むべきである。

卯（う）の日に大いに風があって、黄色い塵が天高く舞い上がるときは、必ず蝗虫（いなご・害虫）が発生する。

英語訳

There is nothing that cannot escape the calamities of the earth. Truly, this [work] leads people into the realm of longevity.

Therefore, this serves as an aid to the cultivation of health, and may also be said to be one aspect of the art of benevolent medicine (jinjutsu).

**Reflections on Winds Throughout the Year** — Written by Jōnan Inshi, Tanahashi Deishi

On the day of the Rat (ne): If a great wind blows and the sunlight becomes faint and dim, there will be a disaster on the water, and one should be cautious about traveling by boat.

On the day of the Ox (ushi): If a great wind blows, sweeping the ground and raising dust and sand, there will likely be a sudden and sharp rise in the price of rice.

On the day of the Tiger (tora): If a great wind blows and a red vapor blocks the four directions, one must without fail be cautious of fire.

On the day of the Hare (u): If a great wind blows and yellow dust rises high up into the sky, locusts (harmful insects) will certainly appear.
