現代語訳
御札（お手紙）を拝見いたしました。このたび養君（養子としての当主）としてご決定になられたことについて、御祝儀として使者をもって御太刀および御馬代（馬の代わりの金品）を献上されたとのこと、披露（取り次ぎ・報告）いたしましたところ、使者が御目見え（お目通り）を仰せつけられ、誠に結構な首尾（運び・結果）でございました。謹んで申し上げます。

I have had the honor of reviewing your letter. Regarding the recent announcement of the appointment of an adopted heir, you presented a sword and a gift of money in lieu of a horse as congratulatory offerings through a messenger. Upon my conveying this to the relevant party, the messenger was granted an audience, and the matter proceeded most favorably. I humbly and respectfully write this.
