停止たるへく候条触面之趣相背候者有之におゐては

早々可訴出候自今奢停侈高価之品武家方に候とも

現代語訳
停止すべきです。触書の趣旨に背く者がいる場合には、役人が巡回して徹底的に調査し、容赦なく厳しく咎めを申し付けます。もっとも、紛らわしい改め方をする者や、途中で往来の者を捕らえて改める等のことは決してあってはなりません。もしそのような者がいた場合には、その者を留め置き、早々に訴え出るべきです。今後、奢侈で高価な品を武家であっても注文する者がいた場合には、奉行所に相談して指図に従うべきです。
右の通り町々へ触れ渡しましたので、その意を得て、総じて華美で高価な品を誂えてはなりません。この度の御主意をいよいよ厚く心得、諸事において奢りがましい儀がないように致すべきです。
右の趣旨を触れ渡すべきです。

右の通り、この度幕府より仰せ付けられましたので、御国中に触れ渡すよう御当職より仰せ渡されました。そちらの組合村浦を問わず、何者も漏れることのないよう触れ知らせ、組ごとに一紙の請書を取って提出すべきです。もっとも、この状は先々滞りなく回覧し、最後の村より指し戻すべきです。以上

[These practices] shall be stopped. When there are those who violate the intent of this proclamation, officials shall make rounds and conduct thorough investigations, applying strict punishment without mercy. However, conducting confusing inspections or arresting and examining travelers along the way shall never occur. If there are such persons, they should be detained and reported immediately. From now on, if there are those who order luxurious and expensive items, even among the warrior class, they should consult with the magistrate's office and follow their instructions.
As proclaimed to all the towns as stated above, understand this intent well. Generally, ornate and expensive items should not be ordered. The benevolent intention of this time should be deeply understood, and extravagant matters should be avoided in all affairs.
The above intent shall be proclaimed.
