仕上御請書之覚
質素倹約之義は先年ゟ度々被仰出既昨年も尚亦
改而被仰出候所一応は御趣意相守候姿に相見候内いつとなく
相弛み此砌に至り端々不心得之者有之候召捕行者被仰付
有之懸り別而不埒之事に候万一此上御制服を始前々触達候
趣意不相守者有之におゐては見当次第無手当可申付候
将亦高価之富札或は飼鳥抔之翫物女櫛笄
其余履もの又は木綿類に而も高直之品々決而売買
仕間布候依而是又向後右様不都合之品取扱候者有之におゐては
屹と咎可申付候右條々違犯之者有之候得者其所之
役人共越度可申付候条無油断取究心得違無之様
相触可申候
右之通御当職御下知有之候条不仍何者御趣意屹と
相守候様且是迄度々御触達御取究之御ケ條尚亦
心得違無之様親敷申付方可遂了簡候右被仰出

御触面之通村役人共におゐても屹と申付方有之義に候条

質素倹約の件については先年より度々仰せ出され、既に昨年もなお又改めて仰せ出されたところ、一応は御趣意を守っている様子に見えたものの、いつの間にか気が緩み、この頃に至って一部に不心得の者が有り、召し捕り行うよう仰せ付けられることがあった。これは特に不埒なことであり、万一この上で御制服を始め以前から触れ達しのあった趣意を守らない者があった場合には、見つけ次第無条件で処罰を申し付ける。
また高価な富札或いは飼い鳥などの玩具、女性用の櫛や笄、その他履物、また木綿類であっても高価な品々について、決して売買してはならない。よってこれもまた今後右のような不都合な品を取り扱う者があった場合には、きっと咎めを申し付ける。右の条々に違反した者があった場合には、その所の役人らも越度として処罰を申し付ける。よって油断なく取り締まり、心得違いのないよう触れ知らせるべきである。
右の通り御当職より御下知があったので、何としても御趣意をきっと守るよう、且つこれまで度々御触達・御取究めの御ケ条についてもなお又心得違いのないよう、親身になって申し付け方を了簡すべきである。右が仰せ出されたことに付いては、

Regarding the matter of frugality and economy, [orders] have been issued repeatedly since previous years, and even last year new orders were issued once again.
