質素倹約の件並びに御制服を始めとし、また高価な草花或いは飼い鳥などの玩具、女性用の櫛・笄、その他履物、また木綿類であっても高値の品々について決して売買してはならない旨、この度厳重に御取り締まりを仰せ付けられましたので、組下の村々において何人にも漏れることのないよう触れ知らせ、御趣意を畏れ多く承る旨の御請書を取り揃えて提出するよう仰せ付けられ、畏れ多く承り、早速触れ知らせましたところ、畏れ多く承る旨各村々より御請書を提出いたしましたので、取り揃えて謹んで提出いたします。以上

Regarding the matter of frugality and economy, as well as official dress regulations, and furthermore the strict prohibition on buying and selling expensive flowering plants, pet birds and other playthings, women's combs and hairpins, other footwear, and even cotton goods if they are high-priced items - since strict enforcement has been ordered this time, [we were ordered to] notify all villages under our group without exception to anyone, collect written acknowledgments stating reverent acceptance of the official intent, and submit them. Having reverently accepted this order, we immediately issued the notification. As a result, written acknowledgments stating reverent acceptance have been submitted from each village, so we have collected them and respectfully submit them herewith. The above.
