或は役人之宅前抔へ為懸置可申候右之趣 万石以上以下領分知行給知有之面々幷 寺社之向々へも不洩様可相触候 近年諸国在々浪人体之者多く徘徊 いたし頭分師匠分抔と唱廻り場留場と銘々 私に持場を定百姓家へ参り合力を乞少分之 合力銭等遣候得は悪口致し或は押而止宿を乞 又は病気抔と申逗留致し候内には種々 難題申懸金銭ねたり取候趣相聞不届之 至に候以来右浪人体之者村方へ罷越同様申 候共決而不為致止宿帯刀をも致し候者は一銭 之合力をも不致自然不法申候ものは早々指 押若し手にあまり候へは其処の穢多非人に 為指押御領は御代官私領は領主地頭 役場へ注進可致候 一右浪人体之者党を結ひ押歩行候儀及 見聞候歟又は村方へ罷越候節不得指押

或いは役人の宅前などへ掛け置くべく申すべし。右の趣旨を 万石以上以下の領分・知行・給知のある面々並びに 寺社の向々へも漏れないよう触れるべし。 近年諸国在々において浪人体の者が多く徘徊 し、頭分・師匠分などと唱えて回り、場留・場と銘々が 私的に持ち場を定め百姓家へ参って合力を乞い、少分の 合力銭等を遣わせば悪口をし、或いは押して止宿を乞い、 又は病気などと申して逗留する内には種々の 難題を申し掛けて金銭をねだり取る趣が聞こえ、不届きの 至りである。以後右浪人体の者が村方へ罷り越し同様に申し ても決して止宿をさせてはならず、帯刀をも致す者には一銭の 合力をもしてはならず、自然不法を申すものは早々指し 押さえ、若し手に余るようであればその所の穢多・非人に 指し押さえさせ、御領は代官、私領は領主・地頭の 役場へ注進すべし。 一つ、右浪人体の者が党を結んで押し歩く義に及び 見聞するか、又は村方へ罷り越した節、指し押さえ得ず

The above intent should be communicated without omission to all those with territories, fiefs, and stipends above and below ten thousand koku, as well as to temple and shrine authorities. In recent years, many rōnin-like individuals have been wandering throughout the rural areas of various provinces, calling themselves head disciples, master instructors, and the like, each privately establishing their own territories called "ba-dome" and "ba," visiting peasant households to request assistance, and when given small amounts of assistance money, they speak ill of the donors, or forcibly request lodging, or claim illness to extend their stay, during which they make various unreasonable demands and extort money—such conduct has been reported and is extremely improper. Hereafter, when such rōnin-like individuals come to village areas making similar requests, absolutely do not provide them lodging, and for those who carry swords, do not give even one mon in assistance. If they naturally make unlawful demands, quickly restrain them, and if they prove too difficult to handle, have the local eta and hinin restrain them, and report to the deputy governor for shogunal lands, or to the lord or territorial administrator's office for private domains.
