得ともいまた世上有高多に有之兎角富
家之者とも囲持或は遠国辺鄙等にては
今以新古金銀取交通用いたし居候
趣粗相聞停止之品取遣いたし候儀
不届は勿論貯置無詮儀に候尤吹替
被仰出候上は引替残多有之候ては世上
通財却て減少いたし自然諸物融通に
拘り候間領分内重立候者とも江右等之
趣能々被申諭実意に出進方一際相増
候様可被取計候且其品に寄御代官より
及懸合に候儀も可有之候間得其意尤
引替人持主之御手当幷道中諸入用
之儀は先達而相達候通心得引替所
手遠之場所は最寄御代官へ申立引

現代語訳
得ると言えども、いまだ世上には流通高が多くあり、とかく富
裕な家の者どもが囲い込んで持っているか、あるいは遠国の辺鄙な場所などでは
今でも新旧の金銀を混ぜて通用させている
趣がおおよそ聞こえてくる。停止の品を取り扱いしている件は
不届きであることは言うまでもなく、貯え置くことは無意味である。もっとも吹替を
仰せ出された以上は、引替残が多くある場合は世上の
通貨が却って減少し、自然と諸物の融通に
支障が生じるので、領分内の重立った者どもに右等の
趣をよくよく申し聞かせ、誠意をもって差し出す方向を一層増進する
ように取り計らうべきである。かつその品によっては御代官より
相談に及ぶこともあり得るので、その意を得ておくこと。もっとも
引替人や持主への御手当並びに道中諸入用の
件は先達て申し達した通り心得て、引替所から
手遠な場所は最寄りの御代官へ申し立てて引き
替えるよう申し渡すべきである。

Even though this is to be obtained, there is still a large amount in circulation among the public, and wealthy
households are hoarding them, or in remote and isolated regions
they are still using new and old gold and silver coins mixed together for transactions,
as can generally be heard. The matter of handling prohibited items is
naturally inexcusable, and hoarding them is meaningless. Since the recoinage has been
decreed, if there are many coins remaining unexchanged, the currency in circulation will
actually decrease, naturally causing difficulties in the circulation of all goods.
Therefore, to the leading figures within the domain, the above
purport should be thoroughly explained, so that they will sincerely increase their efforts to submit coins
for exchange. Moreover, depending on the items, there may be cases where the deputy governor will
need to be consulted, so this should be understood. Furthermore,
regarding allowances for exchange agents and holders as well as various travel expenses,
this should be understood as previously communicated, and for locations far from exchange offices,
applications should be made to the nearest deputy governor for
exchange.
