先廻長縄に而馬乗候義先年ゟ心得方等
度々被仰出候得とも猥に相成候に付猶又去る
亥年已来取究申付置候所兎角心得違
之者有之幷日傘之義僧尼法体婦人
小児之外御指留被仰付有之候所近来
下々之者共男子渋張日傘相用候様
相見候に付屹と指留可申旨先達而より
度々相触候所心得違之者有之趣相聞
別而不埒之事に候向後右様不埒之族無
之様屹と指留可申旨被仰付奉畏候早速
組村へ相触候所奉畏旨御請書指出申に付

現代語訳
先回り長縄での馬乗りの件について、先年より心得方等を度々仰せ出され候えども、みだりになり候につき、なお又去る亥年以来取り決め申し付け置き候所、とかく心得違いの者これあり。並びに日傘の件、僧尼法体婦人小児の外御指し留め仰せ付けられ候所、近来下々の者共男子が渋張日傘を用い候様相見え候につき、きっと指し留めるべき旨、先達てより度々相触れ候所、心得違いの者これある趣相聞き、別して不埒の事に候。向後右様不埒の族なきよう、きっと指し留めるべき旨仰せ付けられ、畏れ奉り候。早速組村へ相触れ候所、畏れ奉る旨御請書指し出し申すにつき、指し上げ申し候。以上

Therefore, regulations were established and ordered from the previous Boar year, but there are still those who misunderstand. Also, regarding parasols, their use has been prohibited except for monks, nuns, clergy, women, and children. However, recently it appears that men among the lower classes have been using oiled paper parasols. We have repeatedly issued notices to strictly prohibit this from some time ago, but we hear there are still those who misunderstand, which is particularly improper. We have been ordered to strictly prohibit such improper behavior in the future, which we humbly obey. When we promptly notified the organized villages, receipt documents stating humble compliance were submitted, so we respectfully present them. The above.
