小判金之義鍛之患無之ため厚めに吹直被仰付候得共
此迄年を経候に随ひ切金若鍛金等有之候とも
切鍛扁け鍛無構可致通用候軽目金之儀も
小判者四厘迄軽き分通用いたし弐歩判壱歩判も
右分量を以軽き分鍛金共無滞可致通用候
右之趣面々江不洩様御料者御代官私領は
領主地頭ゟ可触知者也

現代語訳
今度、幕府より
小判金の切れや鍛造の有無に関わらず通用させること、また灰吹銀や
潰銀の売買、銀箔打ち立て等の件について、別紙の通り御書付を
お渡しになりました。これにより御国中に触れ知らせるよう仰せ出されましたので、
その意を得て郷中に申し触れるようにしてください。以上

小判金について、鍛造の弊害がないよう厚めに吹き直しを仰せ付けられましたが、
これまで年月を経るにしたがって切れ金や鍛金等があったとしても、
切れや鍛造、扁平や鍛造に関わらず通用させること。軽目金についても
小判は四厘まで軽いものを通用させ、二歩判・一歩判も
右の分量をもって軽いもの・鍛金ともに滞りなく通用させること。
右の趣旨を各々に漏れのないよう、御料は御代官、私領は
領主・地頭より触れ知らせるものである。

Regarding koban gold coins, although it was ordered that they be recast thicker to prevent the harm of forgery, even if there have been cut coins or forged coins over the years that have passed, they shall be put into circulation regardless of cuts, forgery, flattening, or counterfeiting. As for lightweight coins, kobans that are up to four rin light shall be circulated, and ni-bu and ichi-bu coins shall also be circulated without delay, both light ones and forged ones, according to the above proportions. This directive shall be proclaimed without omission to everyone: for shogunal lands through deputies, and for private domains through domain lords and local lords.
