灰吹銀其外潰銀類銀座幷下買之者へ売渡
銀道具下銀入用之者は銀座に而買受他所に而
売買致間敷旨先達而相触候所猥に売買致者
有之趣相聞不届候先達而相触之通急度相守
銀座幷下買之外他所に而売買致間敷候
一銀箔之儀銀座より株札幷箔下かね相渡
於京都職人共打立世上江売出候所他国に而紛敷
下かねを以銀箔打立候者有之よし相聞候右は京都
箔方職人之外於他所銀箔打立候儀は難成
事に付一切致間敷候
右之趣先年より度々相触候所近来又々
猥に相成北国筋は猶更其外国々に而も銀箔
隠打致候趣相聞不届候以来急度相守灰吹銀
其外潰銀之類銀座之外堅売買不致
銀箔之儀も京都定職之外他所に而打立候儀
一切致間敷候若灰吹銀其外潰銀之類銀座

大目付へ
灰吹銀その他潰銀類は銀座並びに下買いの者へ売り渡し、
銀道具・下銀を必要とする者は銀座において買い受け、他所において
売買してはならない旨、先達て触れ知らせたところ、みだりに売買する者が
いる趣が聞こえ、不届きである。先達て触れ知らせた通り、厳重に守り、
銀座並びに下買い以外の他所において売買してはならない。
一、銀箔の件について、銀座より株札並びに箔下金を渡し、
京都において職人共が打ち立て世上へ売り出しているところ、他国において紛らわしい
下金をもって銀箔を打ち立てる者がいるよし聞いている。これは京都の
箔方職人以外が他所において銀箔を打ち立てることは成り難い
ことにつき、一切してはならない。
右の趣、先年より度々触れ知らせたところ、近来また
みだりになり、北国筋は猶更、その他の国々においても銀箔を
隠れて打っている趣が聞こえ、不届きである。以後厳重に守り、灰吹銀
その他潰銀の類は銀座以外では堅く売買せず、
銀箔の件も京都の定職以外、他所において打ち立てること
一切してはならない。もし灰吹銀その他潰銀の類を銀座

To the Chief Inspector:
Regarding haifuki silver and other types of crushed silver, these shall be sold to the ginza (silver guild) and authorized buyers,
and those who need silver implements and base silver shall purchase them at the ginza and
shall not engage in buying and selling elsewhere. This was proclaimed previously, but it has been
heard that there are those who trade indiscriminately,
which is improper. As proclaimed previously, this must be strictly observed:
buying and selling shall not be conducted anywhere other than at the ginza and with authorized buyers.
Article 1: Regarding silver leaf, stock certificates and base silver for foil are distributed from the ginza,
and craftsmen in Kyoto beat it into leaf and sell it to the public. However, it has been heard that in other provinces there are those who
make silver leaf using dubious base silver. Since it is
difficult for anyone other than the licensed foil craftsmen of Kyoto
to make silver leaf elsewhere, this shall be absolutely prohibited.
The above directive has been proclaimed repeatedly since previous years, but recently it has again
become lax, especially in the northern provinces, and it has been heard that in other provinces as well, silver leaf is being
secretly manufactured, which is improper. Henceforth, this must be strictly observed: haifuki silver
and other types of crushed silver shall strictly not be bought and sold except at the ginza,
and regarding silver leaf as well, no manufacturing shall be conducted
