仕上御請書之覚
海岸御警衛向之儀追々被仰出も有之候所
近来何事によらす新奇異説を好み事情ゟ意を
もとめ種々之妄説を唱剰不穏事共をも取交
申廻り候族有之義に相聞如何之事に候元来非常
御手当向之儀は不軽筋に候所右体之風説
有之候得は徒に人心を動候儀に付以来無益之
雑説等申触候儀末々之者に至迄も急度
可相慎旨此度従
公儀御触之趣御当職御下知有之旨御目付
中ゟ達有之候条其方共組村浦何者に不因
逸々相触組切壱紙受書可指出候此触書
無遅滞急々相廻済村ゟ可指戻以上

右之通御触被遊候に付何者によらす逸々不洩様

仕上げお請書の覚え
海岸警備の件について追々お達しがあるところ、
近頃何事によらず新奇な異説を好み、事情から意を
求め、種々の妄説を唱え、さらには穏やかでないことどもをも取り交ぜて
言い回っている者たちがいると聞き及び、いかがなものかと存じます。元来非常時の
手当ての件は軽くない事柄であるところ、右のような風説が
あっては、いたずらに人心を動揺させることになりますので、今後無益な
雑説などを申し触らすことは末々の者に至るまでも厳重に
慎むべき旨、この度幕府からお触れの趣旨で御当職からご下知があった旨、御目付
中より達しがありましたので、そちらたち組村浦の何人も漏らすことなく
逐一相触れ、組ごとに一紙の請書を差し出すこと。このお触書を
遅滞なく急いで廻し、済み次第村より差し戻すこと。以上
戌六月十九日

Record of Completion Acknowledgment Letters
Regarding coastal defense matters, various directives have been issued successively.
Recently, there are those who favor novel and strange theories regardless of the matter at hand, seeking meaning from circumstances,
proclaiming various false doctrines, and even mixing in
disturbing matters as they spread such talk. This is most inappropriate. Originally, emergency
preparedness matters are serious affairs, but when such
rumors circulate, they needlessly agitate the people's hearts. Therefore, henceforth the spreading of
useless gossip and such shall be strictly
avoided by all, down to the lowest-ranking persons. This directive from the
Shogunate was conveyed through the current officials, as communicated by the
inspectors. You shall ensure that every person in your group villages and coastal settlements
is informed without exception, and acknowledgment letters shall be submitted by each group on a single sheet. This directive
must be circulated urgently without delay, and returned from each village once completed. The above.
