御下知有之候条右様相心得其方共組村浦不相洩様
可触知候且組切受書取揃来正月晦日迄に可指出候以上

近来西洋学盛に相成世人新奇を好候処ゟ
僻学好事之輩深く其学不研究もの迄
蘭書を取扱臆断杜撰之翻訳いたし
奇説怪論を唱候者侭有之由相聞候畢竟
近来蘭書和解等之儀恣に相成候に付右体之義
有之如何之事に候元来蘭書之義は翻訳によつて
其事柄を解得候事故右様如何之翻訳流布致し
若一図に其説をのみ信し候様成心得違之者も

近頃西洋学が盛んになり、世人が新奇を好むところから
偏った学問を好む者で、深くその学問を研究しない者まで
蘭書を取り扱い、憶測による杜撰な翻訳をして
奇説怪論を唱える者がしばしばいると聞いております。つまるところ
近頃蘭書和解等のことが恣意的になっているため、このような事
があることは如何なものかと存じます。元来蘭書のことは翻訳によって
その事柄を理解することなので、このような如何わしい翻訳が流布し、
もし一途にその説のみを信じるような心得違いの者も

To the Great Inspector:
Recently, Western learning has become popular, and as people favor novelties,
even those who prefer biased learning and do not deeply research their studies
handle Dutch books and make arbitrary and careless translations,
advocating strange theories and bizarre arguments. We have heard there are often such cases.
In short, recently Dutch book interpretation has become arbitrary, so
such matters are quite problematic. Originally, Dutch books are meant to be understood through translation of
their contents, so when such questionable translations circulate,
if there are those with misguided understanding who believe only in those theories single-mindedly,
