申上添書之覚
市郷之者共近来諸士往来渡舟乗組
川舟乗違等之節無礼法外之者有之幷
穢多非人往来町人百姓に相紛片寄之体も
無之是迄度々御触達も有之所別而如何之次第
に付猶又此度御趣意書を以御取究り被仰付
心得違之者無之様組村々役人共へ申付百姓
幷穢多非人共に至迄不洩様申渡請書
可指出旨被仰付奉畏候早速組村々相触
候所別紙之通奉畏旨御請書指出申に付

申し上げる添書の覚書
市郷の者どもが近来、諸士の往来や渡し舟への乗り合わせ、
川舟への乗り違え等の際に無礼で法外な者がおり、並びに
穢多非人が往来において町人百姓に紛れ込んで片寄るような体裁も
見受けられず、これまで度々お触れ達しもあったところ、特にいかがなものかという次第
につき、なお又この度御趣意書をもってお取り究めになることを仰せ付けられ、
心得違いの者がないよう組村々役人どもへ申し付け、百姓
並びに穢多非人どもに至るまで漏れないよう申し渡し、請書を
差し出すべき旨を仰せ付けられ、畏れ多く存じます。早速組村々へ触れ回った
ところ、別紙の通り畏れ多く存じる旨の御請書を差し出しましたので、
取りまとめて指し上げます。以上

Memorandum of accompanying document submitted
Recently, among the people of the market towns, there have been those who behave rudely and unlawfully when encountering samurai on the roads, boarding ferry boats together with them, or mistakenly boarding river boats. Additionally,
there have been instances where eta and hinin in their travels do not properly separate themselves from townspeople and farmers as required. Although there have been repeated official notices about this matter, the situation has become particularly problematic,
so once again this time, through an official directive, we have been ordered to thoroughly investigate this matter.
We have been commanded to instruct the village officials under our jurisdiction to ensure there are no those who misunderstand proper conduct, and to announce this without exception to all farmers
as well as eta and hinin, requiring them to submit written acknowledgments.
We humbly accept this order. Having immediately communicated this to all villages under our jurisdiction,
they have submitted written acknowledgments expressing their humble acceptance as shown in the separate documents, which
we hereby present together. The above.
