一市郷商人共錫銅鉄古鍋其余
古かね幷右類々器物とも他国積出之義
指留候旨先日相触候事に候就而は錫之器物
何之品によらす所持之者其義は所散不申
大切に相用売払不申様重々取究置可申候
万一売払不申候は難相成者共義は其段
可申出候右之通御請書取揃差上候得とも
跡書無之に付き相記申置候
丑九月八日御触に御座候
一質素倹約御制服之義猶又此度左之通
被仰出候旨御目付中ゟ達有之候条右様相心得
其方共組村浦不依何者逸々急々触知組切
受書取揃来廿七日迄に可指出候右御触村中
人別請書印形仕せ役人手元へ取置壱
書認め差上様被仰付候付取揃差上候様
現代語訳
一、市郷の商人たちが錫・銅・鉄・古鍋その他
古金属並びに右の類々の器物を他国へ積み出すことを
差し止める旨、先日触れ出されたことです。つきましては錫の器物は
何の品によらず所持する者はその件について所散せず、
大切に使用し、売り払わないよう重々取り究めておくべきです。
万一売り払わざるを得ない者がいる場合はその旨を
申し出るべきです。右の通り御請書を取り揃えて差し上げましたが、
跡書がないので、ここに記し申しておきます。
丑九月八日の御触れです。
一、質素倹約の御制服の件について、なお又この度左の通り
仰せ出される旨、御目付中より達しがありましたので、右様心得て
その方たちの組村浦を問わずどの者も急々に触れ知らせ、組切りの
受書を取り揃え来る廿七日までに指し出すべきです。右の御触れについて村中の
人別受書に印形をさせ、役人の手元へ取り置き一つ、
書き認めて差し上げるよう仰せ付けられましたので、取り揃えて差し上げるよう

1. Regarding merchants in market towns and their tin, copper, iron, old pots and other
old metals as well as similar utensils being shipped out to other domains,
this was prohibited as announced in a recent edict. Concerning this, tin utensils
of any kind should not be dispersed by those who possess them,
but should be used carefully and not sold, which should be thoroughly investigated and arranged.
Should there be anyone who cannot avoid selling them, they should
report that matter. Written acknowledgments have been compiled and submitted as stated above, but
since there are no follow-up records, this is recorded here.
This was an edict from the 8th day of the 9th month of the Ox year.
1. Regarding the sumptuary laws for frugality and economy, furthermore this time the following
has been announced, and there was notification from the inspectors, so understanding this,
all members of your village groups and coastal areas should urgently spread the word,
compile written acknowledgments by group divisions, and submit them by the coming 27th day. For this edict, all villagers should
affix their seals to individual written acknowledgments, with one copy to be kept by officials,
and one copy to be written and submitted as ordered, so they should be compiled and submitted.
