決而相用申間敷様取究可申候
一右御取究に付而は御役向之義も以後壱汁
壱菜之上指上不申候事
但村々土地之趣も御坐候事故其時々
有合之品を以御賄向可仕候尤仕成方
目当無御坐候而は取締も難相立候に付
諸士様御賄之義は壱ケ度九分無格
御役人之義は七分五厘之御建に基
大段右を目当に仕御役向相仕立可申候
然共其時々之趣に而少々宛は入目之多少
も可有御坐方に付精々あた成費無御坐
様心を付取究可申と奉存候
一組頭庄屋諸御用向に付村方へ出張之節を始
村々両季割符方立合幷其余御用筋に而
庄屋五人与頭百姓等立合申談之節たりとも
酒之義は一向相用させ不申支度向之義も
此度之御取究付候而は重々麁末に仕候様取究
可申と奉存候
現代語訳
決して相用い申すまじきよう取り決めるべく候
一、右御取り決めについては御役向きの義も以後一汁
一菜の上差し上げ申さず候事
ただし村々土地の趣もございます事故、その時々
有り合わせの品をもって御賄い向き仕るべく候、もっとも仕成し方
目当てがございませんでは取り締まりも相立ち難く候につき
諸士様御賄いの義は一度につき九分、無格
御役人の義は七分五厘の御建てに基づき
大体右を目当てに仕り御役向き相仕立てるべく申候
然れども其の時々の趣にて少々ずつは入目の多少
もあるべき方につき、精々当たり成る費用がないよう
心を付け取り決めるべきと存じ奉り候
一、組頭庄屋諸御用向きにつき村方へ出張の節をはじめ
村々両季割符方立ち合い並びにその余御用筋にて
庄屋五人組頭百姓等立ち合い申し談の節たりとも
酒の義は一向相用いさせ申さず、支度向きの義も

for the hospitality of samurai officials, it shall be nine bu per occasion, and for unranked
officials it shall be seven bu and five rin as established rates, and based on
these amounts as our general guideline, we shall arrange the official meals.
However, depending on the circumstances of each occasion, there will be some variation
in expenses, so we intend to be very careful to establish arrangements
that avoid any inappropriate costs
1. Beginning with occasions when group leaders and village headmen go on official business to villages,
for village seasonal tax assessment meetings and other official business where
village headmen, five-man group leaders, farmers and others meet for discussions,
alcohol shall absolutely not be used, and regarding preparations,
in accordance with this arrangement, we intend to establish rules to keep things
very simple and modest
