此度御家中壱統三ケ年之間稠布倹約被仰付候に付
諸士之面々召連候供人令減少或は一僕又は
無僕其上麁服等に而往来可仕候依之無格
末々幷市郷之者共途中店崎第一船渡等に而
無礼法外之義無之様相慎可申候万一不心得之者
有之無礼法外之族於有之は無御手当可被
仰付候条兼而此旨屹と相守候様其支配頭
又は主人ゟ夫々【尽ヵ】可申付候此度相改尚又被仰付候義に
候条急々可有通達候以上

この度御家中一統三ヶ年の間、質素倹約を仰せ付けられ候につき
諸士の面々が召し連れ候供人を減少させ、或いは一僕又は
無僕とし、その上粗服等にて往来仕るべく候。これにより無格の
末々並びに市郷の者共が、途中店先・第一船渡等にて
無礼法外の義これなきよう相慎み申すべく候。万一不心得の者
これあり、無礼法外の族これあらば、御手当なく仰せ
付けらるべく候条、兼ねてこの旨をしっかりと相守り候よう、その支配頭
又は主人より夫々申し付くべく候。この度相改め、なお又仰せ付けられ候義に
候条、急々通達あるべく候 以上

Memorandum
This time, all members of the lord's household have been ordered to practice frugality and economy for three years, therefore
the various samurai shall reduce the number of attendants they bring with them, or [travel with] one servant or
no servants, and furthermore shall travel in plain clothing. Accordingly, those of no rank,
lower-ranking persons, and townspeople and villagers, at roadside shops, ferries, and other places along the way
must be careful not to commit acts of rudeness or impropriety. Should there be any who lack understanding
and commit acts of rudeness or impropriety, [such acts] shall be punished without
leniency, therefore their supervising heads
or masters must give strict instructions to each [subordinate] to observe this directive firmly. This time [the order] has been revised and newly issued,
therefore it must be communicated urgently. The above.
