右の水野鉄太郎または斎藤鉄太郎と名乗っている由、右鉄太郎の実家は何者であるか詳細が分かるよう、また養子をもらい受けた際、誰が媒人となって養子縁組が成立したかを取り調べ申し出るよう仰せ付けられ、畏れ多く承りました。右様の者は組村々にはおりませんと申し出候につき、この段書付をもって申し上げます。
この件は佐藤粂三郎と連名をもって指し上げ申し候。

Having humbly accepted this order, since we report that no such person exists in our group villages, we submit this report in writing regarding this matter.
