右の者共は常陸国出身の浪人であると聞いている。
逃亡したため、怪しい様子の者を見かけたならば、その場に留め置き、
早急に幕府領は代官、私領は領主・地頭が申し出て、
先ずは江戸において月番町奉行へ申し出るべきである。もし見聞きすることがあれば、
その旨を申し出るべきである。もっとも家来又は者（召使い）等まで
念入りに吟味を遂げ、隠し置くことはもちろん、等閑に扱い置いて
他から知られるようなことがあれば、曲事者（処罰対象者）となるものである。
右の通り触れ知らせるべきである。

幕府の御触れであるので、このように心得て、そなた達の組村・浦において
何者によらず触れ知らせるべきである。もっとも組切請書一通をもって来月
十四日までに申し出るべきである。またこの触れは至急のことなので急いで回し、
済んだ村から指し戻すべきである。以上

These aforementioned persons are said to be rōnin (masterless samurai) born in Hitachi Province.
Since they have fled, if you observe any persons of suspicious appearance, detain them on the spot,
and promptly have the magistrate (for shogunal lands) or the lord/headman (for private domains) report this,
first to the monthly rotating town magistrate in Edo. If you hear or see anything,
you must report it. Furthermore, you must conduct thorough investigations down to retainers and servants,
and naturally, concealing information or treating this matter negligently
and having it discovered by others would make one subject to punishment.
The above should be proclaimed accordingly.
As stated above,
this is an official proclamation from the Shogunate, so bearing this in mind, in your organized villages and coastal settlements,
regardless of who they may be, this should be made known to all. Furthermore, a written acknowledgment from each administrative unit must be submitted by the 14th of next month. Also, since this proclamation is urgent, it should be circulated quickly,
and returned from each completed village. The above.
