This time, regarding the matter of maritime surveying from Kanagawa to Nagasaki and Hakodate by order of the Shogunate, we have been ordered to make known the detailed purport of the official proclamation to all villages and coastal areas under our jurisdiction without omission, and to compile and submit written acknowledgments by administrative unit for this matter. We humbly comply. When we promptly made this known to the villages under our jurisdiction, written acknowledgments were submitted from the village officials to my office as shown in the separate document. Therefore, we compile these and submit them with this cover letter for the above matter. The above.
