仕上添書之覚
諸御留鳥之義従来御究有之鳫之義も
是迄御留鳥に候処別而立毛を相荒農業之
障に相成候趣に付此後明野に而勝手に打捕候義
御指免被仰付候尤其余御取究向之義尚又厚
相心得候様被仰出候条組村々不相洩様為触知受書
取揃可指出旨被仰付奉畏早速相触候処別紙之通
御受書指出来候依而右之段添書を以奉指上候以上

仕上添書の覚
諸御留鳥の件について従来御決定がありました鴨の件についても、これまで御留鳥（捕獲禁止の鳥）でしたが、特に立毛（立っている稲）を荒らして農業の障害となっている趣旨により、今後明野（開けた野原）において勝手に打ち捕ることを御許可いただきました。もっとも、その他御取り決め向きの件についてはなお一層厚く心得るよう仰せ出されました条件として、組村々に漏れのないよう触れ知らせて受書を取りまとめて提出するよう仰せ付けられ、畏まって承り早速相触れましたところ、別紙の通り御受書を提出してきました。よって右の段、添書をもって差し上げ申します。以上

Memorandum of Completion Cover Letter
Regarding the matter of various protected birds, there has been a longstanding official decision, and concerning ducks which have also been protected birds until now, due to the fact that they particularly damage standing rice crops and obstruct agricultural work, permission has been granted to freely hunt and capture them in open fields hereafter. However, it has been proclaimed that we should be even more thoroughly mindful of other regulatory matters. Under the condition that we make this known to all villages under our jurisdiction without omission and compile and submit written acknowledgments, we have been so ordered. We humbly comply and promptly made this known, whereupon written acknowledgments were submitted as shown in the separate document. Therefore, we submit the above matter with this cover letter.
