対馬都合三十五ヶ国へ先年相触れ候処、取り上げ
すべき秤も善四郎方へ相渡さず、場所有之り、みだりに
秤売買いたし、緒等も手前にて取り替え、懸目
向かざる秤を遣い、又は古道具に事寄せ、千木秤等
売買致し候者も有之る趣相聞え、不届に候。前々
相触れ候通り、善四郎方役人相廻り改めの節、諸秤
残らず改めを受け、東三十三ヶ国の秤、西三十三ヶ国並びに
壱岐対馬にて通用無之、取り上げに相成り候
筋の秤は善四郎方へ相渡すべし。諸秤隠し置き
改め請けず、みだりに売買致し、或いは手前にて衡
並びに錘、緒等取り替え候者有之候得ば、急度

To Tsushima, totaling thirty-five provinces, notifications were previously sent, but there are places where scales that should be confiscated have not been delivered to Jinzen Shirō's establishment, and there are those who engage in improper scale trading, replace cords and other parts on their own, use scales with incorrect weights, or under the pretext of dealing in old tools, engage in buying and selling scales such as wooden beam scales. Such behavior has come to our attention and is unacceptable. As previously notified, when officials from Jinzen Shirō's establishment make their rounds for inspections, all scales must undergo examination without exception. Scales from the thirty-three eastern provinces, thirty-three western provinces, as well as Iki and Tsushima that are not authorized for use and are subject to confiscation must be delivered to Jinzen Shirō's establishment. Those who conceal scales, refuse to submit them for inspection, engage in improper buying and selling, or replace balance beams, weights, cords, and other components on their own initiative shall be severely punished. As previously notified to all concerned parties, in government territories the deputy magistrates, and in private domains the local lords shall issue these notifications. The above.
