The above intention should be proclaimed to all quarters.

Regarding the silver that has been ordered to be remelted this time, exchanges will be carried out progressively from the 18th of this month. The newly minted ichibu silver that has been ordered will be put into circulation from the 21st of the same month. However, until the existing silver is also gradually processed, it should be used without delay in mixed circulation with the new silver for receiving, disbursing, and exchanging. The same applies to tax payments in silver.
1. Regarding exchange silver: chōgin and kodama silver should be exchanged together without distinction. Of course, new silver, burnt silver, tarnished silver, and pieces where the hallmark cannot be discerned may also be submitted as convenient, and these will also be exchanged without distinction. Therefore, from the coming 18th, they should be submitted to the silver guild (ginza) and others listed on separate paper for exchange.
However, submitting chōgin to exchange for kodama silver, or submitting kodama silver for chō-
